Bruster's Dessert & Trafficking Awareness Night

On the day nationally recognized as "Orphan Sunday", these experts in their field will speak to us regarding the issue of local trafficking activity:

  • Captain Daniel D. Alioto, commander from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office (Vice Narcotics)
  • A Special Agent from Department of Homeland Security Investigation’s Human Trafficking Unit
  • Aaliyah Muhammad, Human Trafficking Coordinator in the Sex Offense Unit for the State’s Attorney in Baltimore City and the Co-Chair of the Maryland Human Trafficking Taskforce Public Awareness Committee
  • Denene Yates, founder of Safe House of Hope, Baltimore

Orphans and vulnerable children easily fall prey to sex traffickers. At least 100,000 U.S. children are exploited in the sex trade every year in America. 

There will be a Bruster's Ice Cream Social afterwards.
